Manchmal hat man als Eltern einfach keine Lust mehr auf die üblichen Kinderlieder. Warum also nicht einfach mal das singen, was uns Erwachsenen gerade in den Sinn kommt? Ob es jetzt der aktuelle Sommerhit ist oder eine Schnulze aus dem letzten Kinofilm – es gefällt was Spaß macht. Und einer der Songs, der mir bei einer solchen Gelegenheit eingefallen ist und der sich wunderbar als Schlaflied eignet ist der Jazz Klassiker: “Over the rainbow” (Musik: Harold Arlen, Text: E.Y. Harburg). Es ist eines der bekanntesten Lieder aus den späten 1930ern und wurde nach Judy Garland von zahlreichen Größen der Musikwelt interpretiert: Glenn Miller, Bob Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, Lous Armstrong. Mitte der 1990er gelang Dj Marusha mit einer Coverversion der große Durchbruch, heute singt ihn Norah Jones. Es ist also ein All Time Klassiker und es lohnt sich den unseren Kleinen zu vermitteln. Der Text erzählt von der Sehnsucht nach einem traumhaft schönen Land, irgendwo hinter dem Regenbogen. Einem Land, in dem der Himmel stets blau ist und bunte Singvögel fliegen und alle Träume wahr werden.
